want to temporarily decorate a big white wall? consider a tape mural! here’s a map of the dc metro system that i made out of electrical tape, painter’s tape, and paint chips on the wall of my dorm room last year.
Super sweet, low budget, awesome looking transit map-themed wall art. I especially like the use of paint chips to represent the rivers. Love it!
That is such a cool idea for your wall! And you can just do whichever city you’re in!!
I spotted a Daniel in Vancouver ;) #cool #runningroom (at Running Room)
Lissy Laricchia, Get Back In Your Book
A vertical forest is expected to be completed this year in Milan. There are two tower apartment complexes which contain a total of 400 residential units. The facade of the buildings will be covered with 730 trees, 5,000 shrubs, and 11,000 perennial plants. It is expected to have the same ecological impact as 10,000 square meters of forest.
Aside from fighting smog and producing oxygen, the foliage is expected to provide insulation to the residential units.
Lets move in together~ this seems like the coolest building!
Do-Ho Suh - Bridging Home (2010)
"A replica of a Korean house installed into a small space between two larger homes in a Northern English City. The juxtaposition of one’s personal, safe space, located within a very foreign and impersonal environment raising questions of cultures and traditions. Mimicking old Korean architecture, the replica also served as a visual representation of the past. Home is a universal concept accepted by all cultures, but upon crossing boundaries, Suh urged his viewers to consider differences and similarities between the history of cultures."
wow is right! It’s very cool!
